Other Assets

Strike has other Australian assets which present future opportunities for the company.  We have significant exploration interests in the offshore Carnarvon Basin, and we have rights over a 578 million tonne lignite resource near Kingston, South Australia

Carnarvon Basin

Strike has significant exploration interest in the offshore Carnarvon Basin.  Our permits give us the options to participate in potentially very large prosepcts within Australia's highest producing hydrocarbon region.  Strike's permit areas are in shallow waters where drilling costs are relatively low.  Our permits include the undeveloped 16 Bcf Rivoli gas field and the Baniyas gas/condensate prosepct which has a prospective resource of between 4 and 8 million barrels and the newly awarded WA 460P permit which is interpreted to cover 20% of the 13.5 Tcf Palta prosepct to be drilled during 2012.

Highlights:
•  Exposure to Australia’s highest producing hydrocarbon region
•  Undeveloped Rivoli gas field and Baniyas gas/condensate prospect
•  High domestic gas prices
•  Potential to attract funding partners

Carnarvon Basin Exploration Acreage

Strike’s strategy is to realise value from our Carnarvon Basin assets by attracting partners that have the funds and expertise required to successfully execute offshore exploration programs.  We are also exploring gas sales opportunities for the Rivoli field.

Kingston Project

Strike has rights over a very large 578 million tonne (JORC compliant) lignite resource near Kingston, South Australia.  The resource is well delineated and suited to conventional open cut mining.

Strike is assessing the optimal commercialisation path for the Kingston Project.  We have conducted extensive technical and commercial studies including with respect to mining, environmental, infrastructure, community and technology.  Based on this work, the Kingston Project offers several exciting development opportunities in the energy, fertilizer and power sectors.

Preliminary combustion and gasification tests demonstrate that the Kingston lignite is suitable as a feedstock for ammonia, urea, methanol, gas-to-liquids and other applications.

Highlights:
•  Very large JORC compliant lignite resource – 578 million tonnes
•  Multiple commercial applications – fertilizers, gas-to-liquids, power
•  Maintain control over fuel / feedstock prices
•  Strategic coastal location within South Australia, a favourable investment location
